Thought you might enjoy this! It's an email from someone we met recently in US:

"As I think everyone in the family knows (although I don't remember specifically who I told), a few years ago (3 or 4), I tore the rotator cuff in my right shoulder irreparably - the surgeon who looked at the MRI said that it couldn't be repaired.

Since then, I've only been able to lift my right arm to shoulder height - no pain (well, at first, it was VERY painful, but not for a long time now), the mechanism was just broken.

On the weekend of the 16th, I went to a conference on Christian healing, put on by the Order of St. Luke (q.v.,

http://www.orderofstluke.org

) near Oakhurst, CA.  The speaker / teacher was Mike Endicott, who has a healing ministry in Wales called Jacob's Well (q.v.,

http://shshop.practiceinabox.co.uk

).  His teaching was very interesting, and although most of what he said I'd heard before, the way he put things together was different.  On Saturday night, he asked if there was anyone there with a stiff neck or sore shoulder.  Although my shoulder wasn't "sore," I put my (left) hand up, and he invited me to come up.

After a brief discussion of what was wrong, he began to pray in the manner that he had been teaching us during the weekend - nothing like the "usual" requests for healing at all; just prayers of thanksgiving for what Jesus has done, and glorification of God's kingdom.

Less than five minutes later, I could raise my right hand above my head with my arm fully extended !  Hallelujah !  & Praise God !

The next day, after the conference was over, I walked in the woods by a creek (it had been raining  most of the weekend, and I wanted to see the waterfalls - they were great !).

I met a couple of ladies at one, and they took a picture of me with both hands up - which I'll send to your cell phone later.  When I returned to the parking lot, I got into a conversation with a couple there who'd been walking their dog on the trail, and when I told them about my experience, the man said that he'd like to meet Mike, because he had a "bad knee" himself.  I said that Mike had left, but I (really !) surprised myself by offering to pray for him myself, thinking I'd try to imitate what I'd learned on the weekend.  He agreed, & I began as described above.

A couple of minutes later he got a strange expression on his face, walked around the parking lot, and exclaimed that the pain in his knee was gone !  more Hallelujahs !

That's the story of my miracle !  Of course, the muscles in my shoulder are very weak, but I'm going to get my doctor to give me a referral for physical therapy next week and start building them up again.  [I've started Physical Therapy.]I wonder what he and the therapist will say !?)"

Things to think about – Rejoice!

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure.

Luke 10:19-21

A quote from Thomas a Kempis

He reports the Lord as having said to him:

"A wise lover regards not so much the gift of him who loves, as the love of him who gives. He esteems affection rather than valuables, and sets all gifts below the Beloved."

Mike's thought:

The Incarnation is simply a lonely god busting his way across the great divide of our sin to get to us and to bring the kingdom to us.

Christ's death is designed to bust open the curtain so that he might continue to flow at us.

When he confirms that fact by saying that he will always be with us till the end of time he is announcing a two-way relationship. Although we benefit from having him near, if we choose to do so, he is also maintaining his desire to be with us and flow at us. if we allow this then his loneliness over us is over with us.

Blessings for Advent

Mike

Private thoughts:

I was away recently, lecturing in US, when we Brits announced that we preferred not to have lady bishops, after all. This news item was hotly followed by some Members of Parliament saying that, if the church wanted in this way to demonstrate how out of touch they really are with world opinions and standards, they would not be listening seriously anymore to the church's views on gay marriage.

I heard a comedian on the radio ask, "What's all the fuss about? We never listened to male bishops anyway, why should we ever listen to female ones?"

We ought to be thoroughly ashamed of ourselves. Surely it is an absolute disgrace that the only messages the general public hear coming out of the church are these self-thrashing noises about bishop gender and same sex marriage and that sort of thing?

Why isn't the general public hearing the noises we ought to be making? Where is our message to the world?

Some years ago a Marketing Consultancy was employed by one diocese to tell them what they had that no other faith or secular humanistic form actually had. In other words, what unique aspect could be most easily marketed? They reported that Christianity has one thing that no one else possesses – hope.

Is this a public noise we have ever heard? Do we on the pews even know this aspect of our faith very well or are we condemned to only hearing pathetic, out-of-date arguments about comparative irrelevances?

Wake up, church! Where are you? Christ has died, Christ is risen and Christ is working still!

Inspirational! Transformational! The blind healer is a lively autobiography of Revd Mike Endicott, Director of the Order of Jacob's Well.

"My happy childhood soon led into a world of deteriorating sight and an increasing dependence on God to come up with life's answers. My life's journey was filled with dark tunnels which then broke out into Ordination, and the founding of the Order, and out into a bright and joy filled kingdom life, available to everyone to live in, and filled to overflowing with a miraculous New Testament fruitfulness.

After years of continuing study and practice, I now devote my life to sharing with others all over the world what I've come to understand about the kingdom of God, so that thousands more may benefit from the simple healing grace of God, giving glory in thanksgiving through Jesus Christ alone for what he has done for us on the cross.

This is the story of my international adventure so far" ..... check it out at:

We're home again!

We flew from UK into Atlanta, Georgia and then flew on to work in:

Memphis, Tennessee

Kansas City, Missouri

Riverside, California

Las Vegas, Nevada

Oceanside, California

San Diego, California

Yosemite, California

We had four weeks work with one day free. Eight planes, eight different beds.

We were well received. Atlanta overnight, Memphis and Oceanside were in hotels, the rest in Christian homes. These were all lovely folk and looked after us very well indeed.

In Memphis we took a morning off and went to Graceland, Elvis' home. Amazing. On the last morning we were taken up country where I was allowed to drive a four wheeled carriage pulled by two huge Clydesdale horses. Lots of pictures of that for Facebook one day I hope.

Tried to preach my very best and the one we enjoyed the most was the church in Riverside. This was about 400 at full strength, some black and most Hispanic and a lot were ex-cons.

All converted and beautiful people, dedicated to the life of the church, running safe routes for those leaving prison and homeless shelters in the city.

The worship was fabulous but loud enough so that we had to wear blockers in our ears!

Mind you, in Memphis we had a professional worship band which was all blues/gospel/jazz and terrific fun!

All the rest of the time was spent giving one hour talks on the kingdom of God, three or four times a day, to the point of near exhaustion.

At the end they took us to the airport in San Francisco and left us there to discover they had taken us to the wrong airport! However, we found an Asian American taxi driver who drove like the wind and tore us around the city to the right place in time!

You like Praise Reports? Quickly coming to mind are:

The Radiographer who was visiting her surgeon in two days time to discuss back surgery. She described her back as a 'train wreck' after years of moving and lifting patients. She had not slept properly for many years because of constant pain. When asked to bend over she could just reach her knees but that was painful, too.

After a few minutes of the ministry of the cross she could put the tips of her fingers on the carpet with no pain at all. The following morning she demonstrated being able to put her hands flat on the floor with no pain and declared the best night's painless sleep for years.

Then there was the retired lady who's knee was swollen and painful and stiff and had been so for almost a year. Her great disappointment was that she could no longer dance. She used to be a professional dancer working for Gene Kelly. A minutes ministry and she danced away from us into the crowd, singing with her happiness!

Then there was a man whose right side Rotator Cuff had pretty well disintegrated. He could lift his arm only to the horizontal with a bent elbow. In a little while of the ministry of the cross he could lift it some more and then, after persistent prayer over about a further sixty seconds, he could raise both arms vertically and easily with no pain. He collapsed in tears of joy in my arms in front of the whole audience!

The following day he could wave that arm quite happily above his head and also confessed that his singing voice had been healed. Apparently he had not been able to sing without crying for many years and now he could sing out with gusto and enjoy it. His expectancy of Jesus had increased to the point where he then went off to pray with another lady whose lungs healed immediately.

Then there was the young man in California. He had contracted asthma aged five years and had been heavily wheezing till now, in his mid twenties. The wheezing ceased immediately during a very short ministry time and the next day he reported still breathing quite normally and healthily.

God is good?

Hi folks, this is an email I had this morning from one of our elders. I thought you might enjoy it?

 It goes:

"Hi Mike,

I thought I should let you know what has been happening up our way, recently.

Travelling home from my recent visit to Cwmbran and your wonderful hospitality, I had a wonderful time of fellowship with the Lord, fuelled in part by our conversation, all of which set me up for our Healing Service that afternoon.

We had a lovely afternoon during which one 80+ lady, who has been coming to our services for several months, gave testimony to the healing of her leg.  She had been experiencing pain in her knee for several years and has medication for pain relief but during the previous week it had become unbearable.

Over a period of 24hrs or more she had had no relief, despite her medication and finally slumped down on her bed in tears and cried out to the Lord.  Instantly the pain left her.

I have seen her several times since then, including at this afternoon's meeting and each time she has declared, "no pain, Praise the Lord."  Her testimony has really inspired the group and

we had another lovely meeting this afternoon, listening to one of your recorded talks from the last Llangasty course in March, this year.

I have also received a phone call from a lady called Iris, who I have had regular contact with over some months now, as her son has been battling brain tumours for 12 years. Things had got particularly bad as he was having frequent seizures, but a recent scan showed that the tumours had not grown as would have been expected and that his bloods were so good that he could take another two courses of chemotherapy.

This sounds small mercies, except that after 12 years this young man, a strong Christian, had begun to give up hope.

His mother has been believing for a miracle for all this time.  Since our contact, she has been praying and giving thanks as you have taught us.  She was delighted, just before the last scan, that the seizures stopped for a few days and that that, combined with the lack of growth and the fresh treatment, has given Ian back his hope."

That's it, folks! That's why I'm in this Ministry of the Cross. It's all the glory and thanksgiving flowing heavenward that turns me on!

Jesus Christ has a passion for the healing of the sick and I have a passion to stand with him while he does it.

I remain grateful to the medical profession for all that it does for us and I recognize that science was invented by God, but I ache as a Christian for those who suffer. Great leaps forward in medical science have been granted to us in recent years. God reveals to his people his creative and re-creative power. But I have a strong sense that there is a mountain of healing blessing available which could be missed if the church fails to focus on the power of the cross.

We thank God for the contributions made to the body of Christ by faithful leaders and teachers in the Church's ministry of healing evangelism, who point us to the word of God and encourage us to receive from him, according to his covenant promises, in the power of the Holy Spirit; but there is much to do. The well-known leaders are not called to do it all, and we need all hands on deck! So this book, The Passion to Heal, is written for those countless thousands of faithful men and women whose names are never in print, and whose faces are never seen in the church newspapers or on Christian television, whose quiet and unsophisticated toil in prayer bears fruit in the kingdom of God, and who want to see works of the kingdom of such magnitude that Jesus is glorified by everyone who comes to him.

The so-called 'ordinary' Christian, who will not be singled out for any honour or attention, and is often hungry to see more spiritual fruit—more people coming to a personal knowledge of God, more people healed—is the one who can play a key role under God.

We tend to believe that effective Christian lives are not lived in the context of the ordinary, and yet the opposite is true. We sometimes focus too much on the high profile Christian—the writer; the person with the 'platform' ministry—and forget that 'great' Christian lives are only those which are subservient to the word of God.

Jesus said to his disciples, "You are my friends if you do what I command" (John 15:14), and that obedience to him is what matters and makes the difference. Countless saints who started out along their road with Christ in quite ordinary ways are now numbered among the 'greats', and this only because of their obedience to God.

The early disciples were simply ordinary people who became extraordinary because they fell into God's will for their lives. It really is the 'ordinary' people of the church who carry on the work of the gospel. We may think, quite wrongly, that our lives are much too ordinary for us to be effective in God's service, as we cope with jobs that may be less than exciting; our mortgages, and so many family and household needs, but the truth is that it is for us, in the midst of our everyday life, to heal the sick and to tell people that the kingdom of God has come near to them.

There is a great deal to do, and we should know what we are doing. We have to be about the business of the kingdom, but we should know our business and know it well. What most matters, though, is our relating to—and opening ourselves up to—our extraordinary God. He is capable of doing more for us than we could dream of, and longs to show us even greater things if we will work with him. How do we do that? Can we see greater things?

Sharing an email with you –

Hello again Mike,

I am old enough to have spent years ('off and on'!) reading all the wonderful promises Jesus made, reading about all the 'happenings' in Acts, attending churches considered to be 'lively' and 'spiritual' and looking around me and wondering about the stuff that wasn't happening - motivated (among other things I hope!) by my own need and strong desire for healing!

Your recordings (not only the CD but I have been to www.simplyhealing.org

and downloaded other recordings - thank you!)

They preach and teach all the stuff I have been thinking and wondering about all these years!

Thank you for some answers!

Mike's Meds - Pictures of Jesus

This is mark 9 on the question of prayer.

"After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, "Why couldn't we drive it out?"

He replied, "This kind can come out only by prayer." (NIV)

Some other translations have 'prayer and fasting'.

We must not for one moment suggest that all sick folk are demonised, heaven forbid! But there is a general point here worth making about effective kingdom healing. After all, the disciples were concerned about the effectiveness of their ministry.

The last word here, 'prayer', is most interesting. There are a number of words for 'Prayer' in the Greek and this is a very particular one. The Greek word used here comes from a putting together of two other Greek words: The second one is the word for prayer which is normally understood by Christians, that is something like, "Oh God, please.....Amen" and its derivatives. There's nothing wrong with that.

But the first part of the Greek word here is a very strong word for closeness. It means to haul in tight to you. The two words are then put together and are used here in a way we have not been properly explaining out of our own ignorance. They are a very strong hauling close of the kingdom, or of the king, in order to achieve a kingdom work.

How do I do that? The answer is not in the words used, it lies in worship and thanksgiving and meditation. What picture should we meditate on?

I enjoy the scene at the beginning of Revelation where the Jesus of today appears to John. The emphasis of the picture being painted is that this is of the Jesus of today. This is how he is, now. Worth reading again! It shows him with fire, like the sun. It shows him standing patiently among the lamp stands, holding the spirits of the church in his hand. The lamp stands are the churches around us today.

Two things always strike me: these are lamp stands, not ready-glowing lamps. They are out. They do not serve him as they are not alight. And he holds in his hand the spirits of the churches so he could light them if he wanted to. But he himself is the light. The scene has a great air of patience, as he waits for us.

Jesus is waiting for the church.

I like to meditate on the fact that this is still the patient Jesus today. He did not appear to John because John knew some religious trick or other to persuade him onto the island. He was there all the time.

What has happened is that, through thanksgiving and worship and meditation, John has opened himself up to seeing something which was right up close behind him all along.

And it is thus with the kingdom of God. It is here right alongside us and right alongside the person who longs for restoration.

We must strongly indulge in 'prayer' as the Greek word has it in Mark 9 above. When we give thanks and worship and meditate on the king and his kingdom and the cross and all the rest that we do, we should meditate on his nearness, knowing all that we do about his true character, and hold a picture of him in our minds of how he is today.

We often use, in teaching kingdom dynamics, the analogy of the car aerial and its effect. When a supplicant's faith aerial rises it has exactly the same effect as opening a door in that person to allow the kingdom into whatever part of life is in need of it. I am suggesting that meditation and worship and thanksgiving should raise our aerials, and put into the Christian's mind a picture of Christ today, the only reliable picture I know being the one in Revelation. And here it is:

"I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. On the Lord's Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet, which said: "Write on a scroll what you see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea."

I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

"Write, therefore, what you have seen, what is now and what will take place later. The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches."

Revelation 1:9 – 20 (NIV)

Our King waits patiently for us among the churches. Is he truly filled with power and authority? Is he waiting for me?

Every blessing

Mike

Mike's Meds - The Ark and the Trumpets

Mike's Meds - The Ark and the Trumpets

Joshua brings us over the river Jordan and into the Promised Land. At last we have arrived, and with dry feet! Now we can enjoy the local food and rest up after all those years in the wilderness. Peace descends.

Then, suddenly, we turn a corner and walk into Jericho. Nasty. Right here, in the land that god has promised us, sits a solid city swarming with enemy, bristling with the spirit of battle, ready and waiting to cause any havoc it can in our ranks.

What changes? Our human lives today are strangely the same as this. We enjoy life as it runs smoothly for a while. Our jobs, our families, our homes. All goes well until one day, out of the blue, we turn a corner and run straight up against the high walls of a Jericho. Illnesses, deaths in the family, financial disasters, breaking relationships, all these are Jerichos thrown across our paths.

But back to the scene before us. Will Joshua know how to handle this? There are certainly a number of solutions he can try, all to hand and all used to great affect by many others. He can learn from many other examples; siege forts, siege catapults, ladders for storming walls, battering rams to attack the main gates, everything is possible. The world knows how to do this thing! It's worth our trying any of these solutions in turn, until one proves victorious.

We look at our own Jerichos today in this very same way. After the initial panic we then look around to take professional or common-sense advice from anyone who might have seen a Jericho like ours before. We'll try anything, take any advice. In passing we might ask someone else to pray in case it helps but then we get all practical again and get on with our own battle.

But Joshua is a balanced man of God. He takes advice from the One knowing everything. And he takes up God's answer. He gathers the priests around him and says to them,

"Take up the ark of the covenant of the LORD and have seven priests carry trumpets in front of it."

Then he turns to us and gives the order, "Advance! March around the city, with the armed guard going ahead of the ark of the LORD."

As Joshua finishes up speaking to all of us, the seven priests carrying the seven trumpets before the LORD move forwards, blowing their trumpets, and the ark of the Lord's covenant follows us around the city.

Out and around we go! And what of the watchers on the walls? How they are laughing at us!

"Look at this!" they jeer to each other. "All these idiots can do is go once around the town with their little box and then run home! At least it's pretty music!"

How they laugh at us. But Joshua knows something that God knows, something that Jesus always knew, something the gospel writers knew, something that Paul knew, too. And this something is being worked out in the little encircling procession, this little group of box carriers fronted by trumpeters.

We all know that trumpeting like this, heralding the living Word of god, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, these things are the wheels on which god moves the kingdom forwards. So look out Jericho, nasty piece of trouble! There's nothing man-made in this solution, it is an effective design of God to overcome Jerichos.

And so we persistently apply this God-method of wall-tumbling. Round and around we go, proclaiming the kingdom of god. And every time we circle the walls the heralded kingdom bites deeper into this unwanted blemish on our abundant kingdom horizons.

The watchers on the wall go on with their mirth and their mocking shouts till the seventh day and the seventh trip around the walls below them. Then, suddenly, their tone changes as the glory of the Lord is manifest. They get a real shock!

May the god of wonders bless you!

What a time we had on Bardsey! Just got back home. We were 16 Christians on retreat, from UK, Canada, USA, South Africa.

The fishing boat left on time from the mainland, carrying a very excited little group! Roaring boat engines, high salt spray.

Amazing times soon followed of meditation, worship, plenty of quiet time alone on the island with God, social times and amazing food!

And island fresh air makes you so hungry! We gorged ourselves on freshly caught fish and lobster  as well as local beef and a wide range of freshly prepared  international cuisine. Vegetables grown by the island farmer. Hone made puddings prepared on the island. All laid on for us.

Then there is the right to roam all over the island. There are seals and baby seal pups and Oyster Catchers and swallows and Starlings and House Martins and Chuffs and Seagulls and loads of sheep.

It was a wonderful pilgrimage as usual. We shared three cottages on the island. Each individual is free to explore their own walk with the Lord. Everyone mightily enjoyed the times of worship and prayer and the tons of free time to roam the island to talk to god. I reckon he must have been thrilled, too, to get all that attention from us!

We all got down to the beach on time to catch the fishing boat back to the mainland, albeit rather reluctantly! It felt quite sad to stare back at the island over the stern of the boat and hunger for coming back next year.

Next year's dates are already in my diary.  We shall be leading two one-week retreats starting July 6 and July 13, take your pick!

Put one of them in your diary, too! If you'd like to come with us then get in touch with me and find out more!

KINGDOM HEALING WITH MIKE ENDICOTT

BY Colin C M Campbell, PhD

June 3, 2012

On May 4 and 5, OSL Region 8 (Ontario) held a healing conference with the Rev Mike Endicott, as our featured speaker.

Mike opened by presenting his credentials. They were impressive! He had been instrumental in physical healings of every kind - cancerous tumours, gangrenous legs, ovarian cysts - there seemed to be nothing beyond the reach of his experience of God's healing power.

Mike continued by explaining the theological basis for his ministry. He did this by acting in a skit with his wife, Ginny, in which they pretended to be Adam and Eve, though not in the costume of the period! Employing a degree of audience participation, which would be the envy of every classroom teacher, he asked us to imagine life as God had originally intended it.

After declining to become involved in the issue of creationism, he pointed out that the Biblical authors thought in pictures. They used the image of a Garden in which to situate life as God had originally conceived it. The audience cooperated and provided him with a list that included such characteristics as joy, harmony and health. Mike then asked for the opposite characteristics. Again, we obliged with sorrow, discord and sickness.

The first list - the good one- was given to a volunteer, who sat in a chair, representing   Christ. Mike and Ginnie took the bad list, left the Garden and began walking towards Christ. When they reached him, they exchanged lists. Adam and Eve represent us. Through his ministry and Cross, Christ takes our bad list and gives us his good one, in what Mike called The Great Exchange.

Armed with the good list, we walk back towards Eden, able to live the kind of life that God intended us to have all along. Our walk towards the Cross and then away from it into the Kingdom of God is central to Mike's theology of healing. It contains some radical consequences that will change the way that some of us do healing.

First, it has revolutionary implications for prayers of petition. These are prayers in which many commonly ask God to change his mind and do something that they desire, which he would not otherwise do. In recent years this idea has been used to justify the concept of "open theism." As Mike points out, God's list has already been drawn up and is offered to us, ready-made. If petitionary prayer is to retain any meaning, it is our giving God permission to perform The Great Exchange within us. Our problem is not to persuade God to heal but to persuade ourselves that he indeed wishes to do so.

When believers have the Kingdom of God rooted in their hearts and minds, they will be able to pronounce God's healing and signs and wonders will follow.

As I reflected upon the teaching that I had absorbed, my thoughts kept returning to one basic issue. Christ never refused to heal anyone, so what is it that is the block in us that prevents healing?

First, Jesus was not able to do any healing in Nazareth due to unbelief. Due to their lack of faith, the disciples were not able to heal the demoniac and Jesus rebuked them for it. Peter only began to sink when he wavered in his faith. So, faith is required in order to heal. As Mike would say, we need to have the Kingdom in our hearts.

Second, in order for the paralytic to be healed, his sins had to be forgiven. The rich young ruler could not be "healed" unless he gave away all his riches. So, there is a strong connection between healing and repentance.

However, apart from the two exceptions of doubt and disobedience, it is clear that Jesus was able to heal every disease and healed all who sought his healing. It is true that he required that his followers take up their Crosses but these were Crosses that came from   renunciation of the world and persecution by the world, not ones that were the consequence of sickness. These two types of Cross are the correct basis for the Church's concept of redemptive suffering.

Many of us, including myself, would bear witness that for us to come to faith, it was necessary for us to suffer. We know that we grew through suffering and, for myself, now that things have turned out well, I personally, would not have had it any other way. In this way, my suffering has been redemptive for me.

There is a danger, however. An emphasis on redemptive suffering that is too heavy, can lead people to believe that God does not want to heal them and so they do not seek it. Correctly understood, redemptive suffering should lead to an increase in faith, not a retreat from it. When God does not grant a specific request - which might be a  major one in our minds - he will increase our faith by using our service in other ways, Mike being an outstanding witness to this. So, he builds our faith but in a different way to the one that we would expect.

Mike challenged us to think in new ways and to grow in our healing ministries. All the people, who completed the questionnaire, said that they would welcome a return engagement!

The power is in the message of the cross

Wrote a short piece yesterday on the power of God being in the message of the cross, likening the speaking out of the Lord's prayer to our recent experience of driving in a Dodge Challenger across the Canadian prairies. I'll send it to you if you like? If so then please email me at:

so that I can email you with it as a free attachment.

Enjoy!

Getting really excited about lecturing in Ontario, Winnipeg and MI during May. Only one month to go!

I can get you Conference contact details easy.....just ask!

Friday, 23 March 2012

Thrilled by the reports of our last residential weekend. One writes: may I encourage you by saying we are still both very fired up after our weekend earlier this month at Llangasty. I feel that all the teaching I have taken on board for years from Agnes Sanford, Derek Prince and Andrew Wommack all seem to come into sharper focus now. Proclaiming the Kingdom and getting out of the way is a huge step in the right direction for me at least.

We are looking forward to progressing and are starting the 'In His Footsteps' course ASAP.  - also are putting it into practice as we go on seeing results. Praise God!

We ought to think of holding more of these tutorial weekends?

Sunday, 11 March 2012

Just finished running a residential teaching weekend on the kingdom of God, up in the mountains of Wales, in the spring sunshine. Full house. Great group of people.

I enjoyed giving nine talks and led discussion groups, all recorded well, thankfully! Tomorrow is a day off! Then I'll put the recordings onto flash drives for those who have ordered them.

Can't tell you how much I enjoyed the weekend. Reckon we all did.

Very excited, pretty shattered!

Just got back from leading big conference on Christian Healing in Hampshire, UK. Lots there, great reactions!

There are good signs already of seed shooting up. People keen to get into the ministry.

The harvest is white and ready – more workers please?

On the way again!

Lots of friends saw that our outreach website got hacked, damaged, killed off! Someone made a nasty mess of it, I'm afraid. But now all is safe and well again. Google still says things are not good but they are wonderful. Really! Apparently it takes a while for warning messages to be removed. So don't look via Google. Please stick:

into your browser and get using us again.

Thankfully, by the grace of God and the clever people at our Server, all is well again.

Sunday, 19 February 2012

Sorry to say we have Server problems where we host our website:

Should be up and running fine again in 24 hours!

We apologise if you've been trying to get there this weekend and not managed it. Back soon!

The UK Advertising Standards authority has condemned street based healing prayer teams for advertising that Jesus heals today through the prayers of their volunteers.

They have been asked to sign a paper denying that Jesus heals today so that the public will not be misled by testimonies, something they describe as 'unsubstantiated evidence'. Many UK Christians are crazy mad about this! That includes me, until I had time to stop and think about it.....

Maybe we can all learn something from this nasty episode. We are apprentices of Christ? Did he do this? Yes, he healed the sick. No, he didn't go around the place advertising the fact. He did not run healing clinics in the street so that the kingdom might be demonstrated.

He proclaimed the kingdom. He didn't teach how to heal the sick in any other way than by proclaiming the kingdom. So might this not have occurred if we had done it the way Jesus taught it?

That's a challenge to you, oh Church, learn about the kingdom and get proclaiming.

Sunday, 5 February 2012

Most thinkers I think with agree:

The high teaching message of Christ on Earth was the good news of the kingdom of God.

The high message of Christianity today is.......

Would you agree that from time to time we should take stock of where we have come to, and make reconnections to our roots? Things that were once essential to Christians have become less central. Things that were once important need to become important again.

Whatever we do as Christians, whatever our chosen type or style of ministry and church activity, we should re-build its foundation by:

LEARNING AFRESH:

           what the kingdom is

           what the kingdom is for

what is our role in the working of the kingdom

what is our God-designed working relationship with Christ.

how, and when, do we proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God.

how the kingdom works miracles when we proclaim it.

how to put that witness into practice, and give glory to God for it.

Are we not Christ's apprentices?
